Welcome to the no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is, ups-and-downs travel blog that promises to deliver the logic and sensibility of Cliff and Claire mixed with the hilarity and missteps of Lucy and Ricky. The adventure starts October 2009 when we’ll be quitting our corporate jobs, hitting the road (or more accurately, the sky and sea) and landing across the big pond for the trip of a lifetime.
So what is a travel ninja? A travel ninja is someone who travels wherever they want at any time. It’s all about travel hacking, creative international travel, Round-the-World planning, and how to spend less money while traveling more. (thanks, Chris Guillebeau).
Basically, we’re pretty short on cash with a lot of aspirations and the energy to make it from point A to B using more of our wit and ingenuity than our bank accounts (Uh-huh, like you really believe we’re not wishing we had huge trust funds right about now). In all seriousness though, we’re looking forward to paring down and enjoying getting out of mobile phone range every now and then.
We’ll be using this site as a way to document our lives, keep our families and friends semi-assured that we haven’t been eaten by any large animals or crushed by any ancient ruins and share everything we possibly can with anyone who cares to stop by.
We’ll offer relevant tips like how to save dollars (or Euros), where to go for the best grub, what the locals do in their spare time and what bands are all the rage from Amsterdam to the Greek Islands. Above all, we’re most psyched about the people we’ll meet along the way.
